Description:
This project aims to strengthen inclusive governance in Vietnam, a key priority for the Government. There is a need for civil servants to be better equipped to deliver public services inclusively, addressing the needs and demands of all citizens, including marginalized groups. The project seeks to develop, pilot, and implement innovative, practical, and inclusive capacity-building interventions. It does so to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Academy of Public Administration and Governance (APAG) and modernize its public administration and leadership curriculum to align with international standards for effective and inclusive governance and leadership. The project also supports current and prospective women civil service leaders develop leadership skills and build network opportunities to better position them for future job opportunities in the public sector.

Expected Results:
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) enhanced training and curriculum to build effective and inclusive local governance and expand the leadership capacity of civil service leaders; (2) improved effectiveness of civil service leaders in the 6 targeted provinces of Vietnam to advance inclusive governance and leadership; and (3) improved agency and leadership practices of existing and prospective women civil service leaders in select provinces of Vietnam.
