This project aims to reduce gender-based violence (GBV) against girls, adolescents, and young women aged 11 to 28 in 4 regions of Colombia including Medellín, Cali, Uribia, and Dibulla. Project activities include: (1) deconstructing the harmful norms and practices that underpin GBV; (2) empowering women and girls through comprehensive education and skills-building; and (3) strengthening communities and institutions to better prevent and respond to GBV.

Expected Results:

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) reduced harmful gender-related socio-cultural norms and practices that perpetuate violence against girls, adolescents and young women in Uribia, Dibulla, Medellín and Cali; (2) increased autonomy and empowerment of girls, adolescents and young women to achieve their personal life projects in Uribia, Dibulla, Medellín and Cali; and (3) improved access to sexual and reproductive health services (SRH). This includes GBV prevention, detection, and psychosocial support by girls, adolescents and young women in Uribia, Dibulla, Medellín and Cali.
