Description:
This Project proposes to support to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ARINSA, scheduled to take place for 3-5 days in the months between September and December 2025 in Zimbabwe – as the ARINSA Presidency. The AGM will bring together 34 contact points to the network (two per country). These contact points are officials involved in the recovery of proceeds of crime such as those from: Asset Forfeiture Units; Financial Intelligence Units; Supervisory authorities; Prosecution and Attorney-General Offices; Police and other law enforcement authorities; Anti-corruption authorities; Tax authorities; Customs authorities; Ministries of Justice and institutions responsible for the management and disbursement of forfeited assets; Central authorities for mutual legal assistance; and the Judiciary. Partners from sister asset recovery networks and other relevant entities, including international partners, will also be in attendance. ARINSA is a network for cross-border cooperation in the proceeds of crime with the objective to facilitate the proceeds and instrumentalities of all crimes; promote the exchange of information and good practices; establish a network of contact points; facilitate and promote the establishment, where possible, of national centres of excellence in all aspects of tackling the proceeds of crime; act as an advisory group to appropriate authorities; and facilitate capacity building and knowledge sharing in tackling the proceeds of crime.
