The purpose of membership is to further the Government of Canada’s domestic and foreign policy goals related to global health.
The objective of paying the annual assessed contributions is to enable Canada to meet its financial obligations to the WHO, PAHO and IARC as determined by its membership as a whole as well as fulfilling our foreign policy objectives by participation in (a) the governance of the organization and (b) the technical and policy areas of its work.
