Description:
This project aims to enhance the adaptive capacity and resilience of people and ecosystems through Integrated Fire Management and to establish an Indigenous-led Fire Adaptation Network. Project activities include: (1) establishing an International Indigenous-led Fire Adaptation Network; (2) implementing Integrated Fire Management strategies and adaptation plans designed on gender-responsive climate risk and vulnerability assessments; and (3) increasing access to gender-responsive Integrated Fire Management training for national and regional stakeholders.

Expected Results:
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) enhanced implementation of Indigenous-led solutions in Integrated Fire Management; (2) improved gender-responsive governance for nature-positive climate change adaptation plans and actions, with a focus on IFM; and (3) increased awareness and capacity among key actors at all levels to develop and implement climate change adaptation solutions with a focus on Integrated Fire Management.
