Program Purpose:
The purpose of Canada’s membership in ICAO is to further the Government of Canada’s foreign policy goals and provide it with a voice in the international community. To this end, Canada pays UN-assessed annual dues, a “membership fee”, by way of a Contribution.
The objective of paying the annual assessed contribution is to enable Canada to meet its financial obligations to ICAO as well as fulfilling our foreign policy objectives by participating in the work of the organization related to international civil aviation and provides it with a voice in the international community on international civil aviation issues.
