Description:
The project will empower women entrepreneurs, including refugees and women with disabilities, in the green economy across six high-poverty governorates. To do so, it will strengthen women-led micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in sectors like agriculture, energy, tourism, and transport by unlocking green finance, providing training, building business linkages, and promoting inclusive policies. To reduce gender-specific barriers, it will also foster safe workspaces, offer grants, childcare services, and awareness campaigns to challenge restrictive norms.

Expected Results:

The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) Enhanced competitiveness and sustainability of women-led climate micro, small and medium sized enterprises, including those led by women with disabilities and refugees in the target regions; and (2) Reduced gender-specific barriers to women's climate entrepreneurship and participation in the green economy including women with disabilities and refugees in the target regions.
