Description:
The project aims to support the capacity of Jordan’s Armed Forces (JAF) to counter threats of terrorism by improving their ability to better identify, communicate and respond to potential threats. Through improved management and analysis of large amounts of data, the JAF will be better able to produce intelligence in support of counter terrorism operations. Project activities include: (1) Provision of secure IT equipment and software. (2) Training in the use of data management systems. (3) Development of policy and practices for management, analysis and distribution of intelligence produced from data.

Expected Results:

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) Improved capacity of the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI) to produce timely, operationally relevant, and gender-sensitive intelligence products; (2) Enhanced operational capacity of the Jordanian Special Operations Forces (JORSOF) to conduct effective, intelligence-informed, and gender-responsive operations in response to national and regional security threats. (3) Strengthened coordination between DMI and JORSOF in the planning and execution of gender-sensitive, intelligence-led national security operations, ensuring the integration of gender equality and human rights considerations in joint decision-making processes.
