Description:
The FLAMBEAU project is the renewed phase of the Women's Voice and Leadership (WVL) in Benin, which supports local and regional women’s organizations and networks working to promote the rights of women and girls, strengthen their empowerment, and advance gender equality in developing countries. Recognizing women’s rights organizations and feminist movements as key agents of change, the project aims to strengthen their institutional capacities, support their advocacy efforts, and foster the creation of sustainable networks and alliances, while addressing the chronic funding gaps these organizations face. This project is implemented by the Paul Gérin-Lajoie Foundation, in partnership with local organizations. It seeks to strengthen the capacity of feminist organizations and vulnerable groups in Benin to promote gender equality, defend the rights of women and girls, and influence public policies, particularly for the benefit of the most marginalized women and girls.
