The expected results of this project include: 1) the strengthening of the organizational viability of women’s rights organizations (ODDFs) and vulnerable groups so that they can sustainably fulfill their gender equality mandate in a safe environment that promotes well-being; 2) the strengthening of programming and advocacy by ODDFs and vulnerable groups to advance gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls, particularly those at the intersection of multiple systems of oppression (IMSO); 3) the increased effectiveness of infranational, national, regional, and global platforms, networks, and alliances defending the rights of women and girls to influence political, legal, and social change, with a particular focus on those at the IMSO.
The main purpose on the International Development Assistance Program is to reduce poverty for those living in countries where Global Affairs Canada engages in international development.
