Grants and Contributions:
The program aims to support rural communities in Northern Luzon and Eastern Visayas, Philippines, by empowering women and marginalized groups to lead in climate adaptation and disaster resilience. Expected results include enhanced food security through gender-responsive, climate-resilient food production, increased community capacity in disaster resilience, and strengthened local authority-community linkages, reaching 15,000 direct beneficiaries (9,000 females, 6,000 males) and generating knowledge and policy influence to enhance disaster risk management of food systems at national, regional, and local levels.
The main purpose on the International Development Assistance Program is to reduce poverty for those living in countries where Global Affairs Canada engages in international development.
