Grants and Contributions:
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) increased access to quality healthcare, improved knowledge, and strengthened capacity in reproductive health for women and girls within health structures; (2) increased access to better water and sanitation infrastructures as well as improved hygiene conditions; (3) improved humanitarian coordination in Diffa to ensure better response to the urgent needs in terms of access to basic social services; (4) increased access to clean domestic energy which allows for the preservation of purchasing power for women from the most vulnerable households; and (5) increased access to economic opportunities for vulnerable populations, specifically women and girls.
The expected ultimate outcome is lives saved, suffering alleviated and human dignity maintained in countries experiencing humanitarian crises or acute food insecurity.
The end date is postponed to June 30, 2020
The main purpose on the International Development Assistance Program is to reduce poverty for those living in countries where Global Affairs Canada engages in international development.
