Description:

GAC is seeking to implement five project activities that aim to build regional and international capacity to implement UN Security Council sanctions on the DPRK’s proliferation activities. These activities include (1) translation of UN Security Council training materials into French; (2) deploying open source monitoring and reporting on DPRK sanction evasion to the private sector; (3) training on DPRK sanctions implementation for legal experts in the Caribbean; (4) training on best practices to prevent sanctions evasion by the DPRK for ship registry officials in the Pacific; and (5) training for private sector entities (e.g. banks) in China on risk management.

Expected Results:

Reduce ability of the DPRK to engage in proliferation activities.
