The expected results for this project include: increased access to relevant guidance, resources, data and knowledge related to the health-security interface; increased investigative techniques and the ability to identify and react to emerging trends and to the suspicious or deliberate use of CBRN weapons at national and regional levels; increased capacity to share information related to biological security preparedness and response plans, thereby reducing the risk of proliferation and use of biological materials; increased capacity to identify emerging threats, trends and geographical risks as well as to prevent and respond to suspicious health emergencies across the One Health spectrum; established cross-sectorial and multi-jurisdictional agency relationships, strengthen information sharing, interoperability and the standardization of approaches to biological incidents investigation; and strengthened regional procedures and global networks to rapidly identify, confirm and respond to deliberate biological incidents.
