Several intervention strategies—including strengthening associations and cooperatives of producers, both women and men—are helping to strengthen democratic and inclusive governance in the sectors to maximize economic, social and environmental potential. The project also seeks to adapt this value chain to climate change and supports applied research, activities to enhance sustainable seed management mechanisms and activities to promote/introduce green technologies.
