The purpose of this project is to support Southeast Asian countries particularly affected by the terrorism threat (Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines) to build their capacity to address the phenomenon of countering terrorism financing via Non-Profit Organizations, in accordance with international human rights standards and in respect for fundamental freedoms.

Expected Results:

Immediate Outcome 1110 Increased knowledge of the government on the risks of terrorism financing via NPOs and how to address these risks through collaboration with the non-profit sector and by amending policies/regulations.

Immediate Outcome 1210 Increased capacity and awareness of national authorities to prevent, detect, disrupt, investigate and prosecute terrorism financing in cases where NPOs were used, while protecting legitimate charitable activities through collaboration and outreach with the non-profit sector.

Immediate Outcome 1310 Good practices, challenges and solutions exchanged between the beneficiaries at the regional level
