Description:
This project provides support to the 2020 and 2021 Canadian Conference on Global Health (CCGH), which aims to create a vibrant global health community contributing to health for all. Organized annually by the Canadian Society for International Health, the CCGH provides a platform for members of the global health community from Canada and internationally, including low- and middle-income countries, to share results, lessons learned, knowledge translation and best practices. The CCGH attracts researchers, policy-makers, civil society representatives and students from a broad spectrum of backgrounds and interests. The conference’s annual themes and sub-themes reflect global health priorities and Canadian international assistance objectives. The CCGH, taking place virtually from October 19 to 22, 2020, expects to directly benefit around 500 people. The CCGH’s 2020 theme is “Global Health in a Changing Climate” with environment and climate change, health systems and the burden of disease, innovating for health, and changing politics as subthemes. The theme and exact dates of the 2021 CCGH are determined at a later date.
