Grants and Contributions:
The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) increased access to health services to screen, test and treat diverse populations (of whom are women, girls, boys, and men) infected with COVID-19; (2) improved access to adapted services for diverse populations (of whom are women, girls, boys, and men) infected with COVID-19 and their families who experience marginalization and vulnerability; (3) improved access to risk communication, community engagement and accountability for COVID-19 prevention, vaccination and routine immunization for diverse populations , and community-based surveillance; (4) increased access to hygiene facilities and supplies related to COVID-19 prevention, adapted for diverse genders, ages and abilities within the communities; and (5) enhanced access to protection, inclusion and mental health interventions to mitigate COVID-19’s impact, particularly among women, girls and those experiencing marginalization or vulnerability.
The main purpose on the International Development Assistance Program is to reduce poverty for those living in countries where Global Affairs Canada engages in international development.
