Description:
This project will develop training materials and tools for applying the comprehensive Methodology. It will provide dedicated support to local actors, namely oversight bodies and civil society organisations, in applying the Methodology in eight to ten target countries and support application in other countries through international trainings and follow-on assistance. Based on the results of applying the Methodology, the project will provide targeted interventions directly to the countries for improving implementation of RTI laws.

Expected Results:
The project will foster more transparent governance so that citizens and human rights advocates are better able to participate in decision-making that affects them, to hold governments to account, to combat corruption, to disseminate reliable information and to identify and debunk dis- and mis-information and will contribute to:more consistent and extensive proactive disclosure practices on the part of public authorities; reduced barriers to access to information for journalists, civil society organisations, lawyers, anti-corruption activists; increased levels of activism and advocacy on the part of different groups to address the needs of their communities and advocate for change;
