Activities to address CRSV would include: technical expertise and capacity building; extension of mobile activities to provide services to those in hard to reach locations; community level Mental Health and Psycho-Social Support in IDP sites; and training of humanitarian workers and community members in prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse. The project would target locations in Tigray including Mekelle, Agidrat, Adwa, Axum, Shire, Maychew, Humera, Alemata, and areas in Afar and Amhara hosting IDPs as a result of the Tigray conflict.
Immediate Outcome 1: SRH mobile teams access hard to reach areas to increase essential and lifesaving reproductive health care and GBV services to vulnerable populations, including women of reproductive age and adolescent girls. Target areas are Adwa, Tigray (1), Afar IDP site (2) and Amhara IDP site (2) (IDP specific locations to be identified).
Immediate Outcome 2: Internally displaced persons have increased access to community level psychosocial first aid, sensitization, and referral for Gender Based Violence. 40 trainers and 120 community mobilizers will be trained and cover Shire and Mekelle IDP camps.
Immediate Outcome 3: The numbers of trained case management workers with access to supportive supervision across Tigray region is increased in One Stop Centers, Women and Girls Safe Spaces, and other facilities. Case management specialists would be deployed to support and mentor national case manager trainers. The trained case management workers will be based at OSCs and WGSSs in Mekelle, Agidrat, Adwa, Axum, Shire, Maychew, Humera and Alemata.
Immediate Outcome 4: Awareness of prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) mandates and accountability of humanitarian workers is expanded, and communities are more familiar with reporting mechanisms. PSEA trainers would also train community mobilizers working in the communities (host, refugee, IDPs) to incorporate PSEA education into risk management and community engagement sessions.
Immediate Outcome 5: Increased availability and accessibility of quality integrated gender-based violence (GBV), sexual reproductive health (SRH) services, and psychosocial support for women and girl survivors at the community, residential, and facility levels.
