Description:

This project aims to increase funding directed towards improving the lives of LGBTI persons across the world, including improved funding equity for organizations led by marginalized groups (e.g. Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Women, and Youth). Project activities include: (1) Conducting research surveys on the needs, strategies and capacity of LGBTI organizations and networks; (2) Producing regional reports on LGBTI movement needs and priorities identified through the regional surveys; (3) Providing training and technical assistance on strategy development and research skills building to LGBTI organizations engaged in LGBTI movement research.

Expected Results:

The expected outcomes for this project include: (1) Enhanced awareness of donors on the priorities, strategies, and funding gaps of the international and regional LGBTI movements; (2) Increased capacity of LGBTI-led organizations, including Bisexual, Intersex, Trans, Women, and Youth (BITWY) led organizations, to advocate with donors to influence policy making and funding strategies.
