Description:
The project implements a 9-month fellowship program that immerse 21 Arctic Indigenous and rural youth fellows from Alaska, Greenland and Arctic and Northern Canadian in diverse experiential learning opportunities focused on building resilient Arctic communities, including how to participate in and benefit from responsible, sustainable, and inclusive Arctic economic development and natural resource management.
Fellows participate in regular online training events and meet with leading global experts of various backgrounds on a range of Arctic issues, including academia, Indigenous organizations, extractive industries, Arctic communities, governmental entities, and NGOs

Expected Results:
1) More local youth are prepared for and hired into positions of leadership to effect change within their communities, local and international businesses, and the broader Arctic.
2) Participants apply the training, knowledge, and mentorship from the fellowship to develop individual projects to advance resilience in their home communities.
3) A cycle of mentorship is created by encouraging fellows and other youth to pass along their knowledge and conduct their own mentorship with other Arctic youth.
