Program Purpose:
The purpose of Canada’s membership in the OECD is to further the Government of Canada’s development, analysis, and understanding of economic, social, and development policies. It provides an opportunity for members to discuss and share national experiences, identify best practices, and find solutions to common problems, through peer review, advancing soft law, undertaking public policy research, and gathering and analysing comparable statistical data. To this end, Canada pays assessed annual dues, a “membership fee”, by way of a contribution.
