Grants and Contributions:
The expected outcomes of this project include: (1) increased participation in sustainable, gender-sensitive formal jobs and self-employment income generating activities by Venezuelan migrants and refugees and host community members, including women, LGBTQI+ individuals, and Indigenous people; and (2) improved safe, inclusive, gender-responsive and environmentally fair practices in government and private sector. This will contribute to gender equality and promote inclusive and equitable economic integration of Venezuelan migrants and refugees and host community members, especially women, LGBTQI+ individuals and Indigenous people in Arequipa, Ica, Lima/Callao, and Piura, Peru.
The main purpose on the International Development Assistance Program is to reduce poverty for those living in countries where Global Affairs Canada engages in international development.
