Description:

This project aims to improve Jordan’s security and regional stability by increasing Jordanian capacity to prevent and respond to threats along its border with Syria. Canada will support the construction and repair of Jordan’s northern border road and renovate or install needed culverts. This infrastructure improvement will enhance the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF’s) operational effectiveness when responding to border incursions and smuggling activities along priority sections of the border with Syria. Project Activities include: (1) Construction or road repairs along the northern border (2) Conduct Impact Assessment of prior border infrastructural capacity development activities.
