The expected results of this project are:
1. Increased capacity of service providers, organizations, and communities to respond to and support those affected by sexual misconduct within the Defence community and to prevent future systems of oppression, with an emphasis on marginalized and racialized populations.
Create Broad public awareness and understanding of sexualized and gender-based violence.
Increased community mobilization/engagement regarding sexual misconduct initiatives and more formalized strategic sexual misconduct response at an institutional level.
Increased number of people who have experienced sexual misconduct in the Defence community seeking supports and services.
Recipient requested an extension due to barriers in reaching the wider Defence community. Recipient confirms plans are in place to address this .Their request to extend their project period is specific to their ongoing issue with wait times faced by the Defence community. One-Year Extension was made to their Grant Agreement. New End date is now 2026-02-27. No payment Values were changed.
To provide a wide array of supports to those affected by sexual misconduct in the CAF/DND through increased access to community-based support services and collaboration between community-based and CAF/DND service providers.
