Description:
This project offers a 5-day Transition Skills Course to 10 women (both active and retired military personnel) who have been affected by sexual misconduct across Canada, per year. Services are specifically designed for women to create a space for them to connect with their peers and speak openly about their experiences. VTN has sourced and trained female psychologists across Canada to enable them to provide an appropriate environment to deliver services to women affected by military sexual trauma.

An increase in projects, initiatives and services reaching the local Defence community through innovative service delivery; Greater access to information, training and support within the Defence community; An increase in effective mechanisms at the SMSRC to strengthen community-based supports for those impacted by sexual misconduct in the CAF/DND, especially underserved groups; Improved support across the justice and social sectors* for those impacted by or at risk of gender-based violence, including survivors; Further integration of community-based service providers within the CAF/DND network of support services for those affected by sexual misconduct in the CAF/DND.
