The funding will support an analysis of how politicians, foreign policy, defence, and media organizations in Canada, France, and Germany responded to risk of to use nuclear weapons. This research will produce an in-depth comparative study of Canada, France and Germany to promote greater understanding of the threat from the use of tactical nuclear weapons, approach and mitigation measures in these three countries, as well as the response of the media environment and the public.
