Description:
This project includes counselling, peer support, outreach, and education services tailored to members of the Defence community. The Durham Rape Crisis Centre retains a bilingual clinical social worker with military experience to deliver long-term trauma-informed counselling, including up to 12 individual sessions per year and monthly group counselling sessions focused on military-related experiences of sexual violence and misconduct. Programming is accessible in both virtual and in-person formats, expanding access to services for survivors regardless of geographic or logistical barriers.
