Description:
The project addresses gaps in accessible, community-based sexual misconduct support outside major base locations by expanding accessible sexual misconduct support within mid-Vancouver Island, the project contributes to improved access to services, increased awareness within the defence community, and strengthened coordinated response. Through the Mid-Island Sexual Assault Services (MISAS) program, the organization will provide free, trauma-informed outreach support, counselling, advocacy, accompaniment, and targeted awareness activities tailored to the defence community across mid-Vancouver Island.
