Agreement Value:
$1,500,000.00
Agreement Date:
Sep 23, 2021 - Sep 21, 2022
Description:
The ARCS integrated solution has two components that are designed to utilize proximity resources for energy generation as well as an integrated suite of waste treatment and clean water production technologies. The energy component will be a renewable based system integrated with the power grid of the RTC. The energy system is sized to offset the power necessary for the waste and wastewater treatment systems as well as a portion of the camps’ fossil fuel consumption, achieving a 35 percent reduction in diesel use. Each system component is an integrated design with commercially available solar PV, wind, and energy storage technologies, coupled with generator efficiency enhancement technology.
Organization:
National Defence
Expected Results:
The objective of this Project is to create a system that is powered by renewable energy. The project offers a circular approach that eliminates waste and wastewater and recover resources on site. It will help communities generate most of their primary resources they need locally, while protecting their environment. The integrated solution has two components that are designed to utilize proximity resources for energy generation as well as an integrated suite of waste treatment and clean water production technologies.
