Description:
This project will provide support and counselling for those affected by sexual misconduct within the Defence community. There is a psycho-educational component that aims to increase participant knowledge on several topics, including the impacts of sexual misconduct within the Defence community, setting boundaries, and healthy coping strategies. The service area for this project includes 15 surrounding Indigenous communities, Canadian Forces Base Cold Lake, as well as Francophone community members.

An increase in projects, initiatives and services reaching the local Defence community through innovative service delivery; Greater access to information, training and support within the Defence community; An increase in effective mechanisms at the SMSRC to strengthen community-based supports for those impacted by sexual misconduct in the CAF/DND, especially underserved groups; Improved support across the justice and social sectors* for those impacted by or at risk of gender-based violence, including survivors; Further integration of community-based service providers within the CAF/DND network of support services for those affected by sexual misconduct in the CAF/DND.
