Program Purpose:

To secure 314 hectares of important riparian and mixed-grass prairie habitat for 13 wildlife species not currently listed by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada or the Species at Risk Act by engaging four landowners and establishing voluntary conservation easements on habitat currently undergoing widespread destruction and deterioration due to agricultural expansion and intensification in south-central Manitoba
