Program Purpose:

The Canadian Apprenticeship Strategy (CAS) provides funding to encourage Canadians to explore, prepare for, participate and succeed in apprenticeship and careers in the skilled trades. It also aims to encourage the

participation and success of equity-deserving groups, and enhancing employer engagement of apprentices.
The Innovation in Apprenticeship Stream (fomerly UTIP S2), a stream under CAS, aims to support innovative approaches and strengthen partnerships to address apprenticeship challenges in the Red Seal trades. The stream supports projects that:
• use innovative approaches or expand best practices to address challenges limiting apprenticeship outcomes in Red Seal trades
• involve broad-based partnerships between organizations across sectors, regions or trades
