Program Purpose:

The Federal Income Support for Parents of Murdered or Missing Children (PMMC) is an income support grant available to eligible applicants who have suffered a loss of income as a result of taking time away from work to cope with the death or disappearance of their child (or children) under the age of 18. The child (or children) must have been the victim(s) of a probable Criminal Code offence that led to their death or disappearance and the incident must have occurred in Canada on or after January 1, 2013.
