Le Programme de préparation à l’investissement (PPI) a été mis au point pour aider à faire progresser l’innovation sociale / finance sociale (IS/FS) au Canada et à s’appuyer sur des soutiens existants pour aider à catalyser des solutions dirigées par les collectivités pour faire face aux défis persistants. Le PPI fournira des investissements limités dans le temps qui aideront le plus grand nombre d’OVS que possible à améliorer leur capacité à participer dans le marché de la finance sociale, à accéder de nouvelles opportunités d’investissement, à progresser dans le continuum de préparation à l’investissement et à combler les lacunes de l’écosystème d’IS/FS.

Description:
The objective of the IRP is to improve the ability of (SPO)s to participate in the social finance market (i.e. secure a repayable investment), as well as to engage in procurement and outcomes-based funding opportunities by: • Enabling SPOs to gain a variety of skills and competencies along the investment readiness continuum; • Supporting the readiness of established expert services providers to provide nation-wide capacity-building services to SPOs in one or more key area along the investment readiness continuum; and • Supporting the advancement of Canada’s SI/SF ecosystems by responding to identified system-level gaps (e.g. building the capacities of social finance intermediaries, advancing impact measurement, and supporting SI/SF awareness and knowledge mobilization).

Expected Results:
The expected outcomes of the IRP are: • Diverse SPOs have an improved understanding / awareness of the social finance market, as well as the capacities along the investment readiness continuum that can help them to access social finance opportunities; • Diverse SPOs have increased access to and participation in modules, tools, training and/or supports to build their investment readiness along the continuum; • Availability of capacity-building services and supports offered through expert service providers for SPOs along an investment readiness continuum is improved; and • Advancements are made to SI/SF ecosystem gaps, including the identification of lessons learned and recommendations to inform future work.
