Grants and Contributions:
The expected outcomes of the Labour Funding Program are:
• International Trade and Labour (ITL) Contributes to increased partner countries’ enforcement of internationally accepted labour legislation. Commitment to develop and implement Action Plans to address identified labour issues is expected to result in increased monitoring and enforcement of adherence to labour standards and legislation.
•Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) The capacity to address occupational health and safety issues, as well as, the development, updating and harmonization of occupational health and safety standards and practices will contribute to a reduction in work-related accidents and illness. • Workplace Opportunities (WORBE)The improvement in representation for the four designated groups within sectors with chronic under-representation. Increased understanding among stakeholders of industry specific barriers to inclusion and effective human resources practices to address them. Development of new tools and guides tailored to industry specific needs.
The Labour Funding Program (LFP) works in collaboration with governments, intergovernmental organizations, non-government organizations, employers, unions and employees to support Labour Program’s Strategic Outcome “safe, fair, and productive workplaces and cooperative workplace relations” in Canada and abroad.
