Grants and Contributions:
The expected outcomes of the Skills for Success Program are:
- Increased awareness about the importance of foundational and transferable skills among partners,
stakeholders and employers;
- Improved access to assessment and training resources for Canadians to use independently or for use by
service provides with individuals who need additional supports so that they can effectively participate and
succeed in the labour market;
- Enhanced skills training opportunities and resources for adult Canadians at all skills levels, including for
under-represented groups in the labour market, such as Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities and
racialized Canadians;
- Increased foundational and transferable skills of adult Canadians so that they are better prepared for, get
and keep a job, and adapt and succeed at work;
- Improved capacity of partners, stakeholders and employers to design and deliver skills training aligned to
employment needs;
- Enhanced integration of transferable and foundational skills activities into other labour market programs
The purpose of the Skills for Success (SFS) Program is to help Canadians at all skills levels improve their
foundational and transferable skills by providing them with access to the tools, resources and quality training
they need to better prepare for, get and keep a job, and adapt and succeed at work.
