Description:
Hold workshops via an emerging technology, video conferencing technology (VCT), in order to increase the capacity of literacy practitioners to teach essential skills to their clients. They will also create a Resource Guide that will provide information on current tools, websites, and other information sources for adult literacy practitioners' in classroom or community based group learning situations. As well as an adapted Facilitator's Guide that includes essential skills. It will be a supplement to Creating Learning Partners (a tutor training manual produced by Literacy Alberta). The overall goal of the project is to increase literacy practitioners' ability to incorporate essential skills into existing literacy training.
