Le Nouveaux Horizons pour les aînés (PNHA) a pour but de veiller à ce que les aînés puissent bénéficier d’une qualité de vie au sein de leur collectivité et participer au maintien de celle-ci. On peut faciliter l’atteinte de cet objectif en mettant en oeuvre des projets qui appuient la vie active, le mentorat, le bénévolat et qui sensibilisent la population à toute forme de mauvais traitements envers les aînés. Il reconnaît qu’une vie sociale active est le secret de la préservation du bien-être, de la dignité et de la qualité de vie des aînés.

The objectives of the Program are: • promoting volunteerism among seniors; • engaging seniors in the community through mentoring of others; • expanding awareness of elder abuse, including financial abuse; • supporting social participation and inclusion of seniors; and • providing capital assistance for new and existing community projects and/or programs for seniors.
