Description:
To organize a symposium for practitioners that are currently involved in immigrant LES initiatives. The overall objectives are to develop a better understanding of the skills required for the Canadian labour market and to establish networks of immigrant LES practitioners in the Prairies and Western Canada to promote best practices and share knowledge. The specific objectives include: - To facilitate discussion among LES practitioners and key stakeholders working with immigrants in order to share best practices, knowledge and identify ways to enhance working relationships; - To develop networks of practitioners to share best practices, knowledge and to identify practitioners' needs, which will ultimately lead to the enhancement of immigrant LES and increase the employability of immigrants.
