Description:
The Recipient will establish a robust and independent governance structure to oversee the development of science-based taxonomy criteria and undertake stakeholder engagement. This includes convening advisory groups and working groups, and establishing a new independent Taxonomy Council to review and ultimately approve investment guidelines.

Expected Results:
The Recipient, as defined in the agreement, will develop and implement taxonomy criteria for three priority sectors of the Canadian economy by the end of 2026 to establish the taxonomy, and complete three additional priority sectors by fall 2027. Additionally, the recipient will provide Finance Canada with a recommendation for an arm's length body to maintain the taxonomy following the expiry of the contribution agreement.
