Description:
To provide funding to Provinces and Territories (PTs) to target both home and community care, including services provided to residents in community settings, namely long-term care, assisted living facilities, and seniors’ residences, as well as mental health and addiction services. To provide funding to PTs to ensure that virtual care tools and services across Canada can be rapidly deployed across Canada to meet the ongoing health needs of Canadians during COVID-19.

Increased physician/health provider use of secure videoconferencing to deliver care.
Increased physician/health provider use of secure messaging and information sharing between patients and among health professionals
Increased patient access to COVID-19 related and other test results.
Increased use of remote monitoring of patients at home and in the community.
