Description:
This project will create two outreach positions to connect individuals using substances with resources and support services. Outreach workers will serve as vital connections to encourage individuals to participate in WBWS’s supportive programming, cultural events, and ultimately reduce substance use. Outreach workers will guide individuals toward eligibility for WBWS’s broader programs, including residential addiction treatment, transitional sober and 'Housing First' housing, harm reduction programming, and cultural support. The purchase of a vehicle will facilitate these interventions across the region. This mobile approach will ensure that community members in diverse locations can connect to life-saving support and culturally relevant resources, furthering WBWS’s mission to enhance community wellness.
