Description:

This project will develop and integrate a hybrid-electric propulsion (HEP) system into a regional aircraft and demonstrate the technology in flight as a proof of concept. The target demonstrator platform is a De Havilland Dash 8 -100 aircraft.

Successful completion of the hybrid-electric propulsion system will optimize performance across different phases of flight and target a 30% reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions.
