The project aims to accelerate
innovation and commercialization
within Canada’s natural products
sector by increasing collaboration
among businesses, researchers,
investors, and innovation partners.
Expected outcomes include the
growth and scale-up of innovative
Canadian companies, increased commercialization of natural products
and technologies, strengthened
knowledge transfer and partnerships,
enhanced access to investment and
commercialization expertise, creation
of highly skilled jobs, and increased
domestic and export sales. The
project is also expected to support the
development of a nationally
connected natural products
innovation ecosystem and contribute
to economic, health, and
environmental benefits across
Canada.
Please note this update includes a change to improve standardization of reporting across projects. The end date was updated from (30/09/2033) to the current end date of (30/09/2036). This is not an extension. The end date now reflects the entirety of the agreement duration, including the benefit phase and residual audit period.
Encourage R&D that will accelerate technology transfer and commercialization of innovative products, processes and services; Facilitate the growth and expansion of firms in Canada; Attract and retain large scale investments to Canada; and-Advance industrial research, development and technology demonstration through collaboration between academia, non-profit organizations and the private sector.
