Grants and Contributions:

Strengthen the capacity of the Institute to undertake world-class research; expand the capacity of the Institute to attract and train the next generation of researchers in theoretical physics; enhance and expand the Institute's capacity to advance the Canadian public's level of literacy and interest in the value of science, physics and innovation through its outreach activities.

New contribution agreement signed in Q4 2021-2022

The objectives of the contribution to the Perimeter Institute are to:a) Increase knowledge in the various strands of theoretical physics, thereby building Canada's reputation as the destination of choice for conducting physics research, attracting the highest calibre of theoretical physicists to Canada, creating partnerships with the international physics community and ultimately strengthening the Institute's position as a world-leading research centre for theoretical physics;b) Attract and retain emerging researchers in physics through innovative training programs; andc) Enhance the literacy and interest of students, teachers, and the Canadian public in science in general, and physics in particular.
