Grants and Contributions:
Support advanced and interdisciplinary research and training and learning; enable collaboration between researchers and non-profit, private, public sector and international organizations; through networks, share and mobilize knowledge created by the recipient's community; researchers develop and broaden their research capabilities through their participation on international, interdisciplinary research teams; the recipient's approach accelerates knowledge advances with the potential to generate economic and social benefits.
New contribution agreement signed in Q4 2021-2022
The objectives of the contribution to CIFAR are to:-Strengthen the preparation, attraction and retention of highly qualified personnel in Canada, and involve early career researchers in its research activities;-Build interdisciplinary research strengths in areas of importance to the long-term scientific, economic, and social development of Canada;-Encourage closer links between the research activities of Canadian researchers and international researchers;-Foster the dissemination and exchange of research results; and-Encourage greater private sector and provincial government investment in basic research and development activities in Canada.
