Expected Immediate outcomes are: - Strengthened consumer's role in the marketplace; - Consumer interest represented in the decision-making process; - Improved capacity of consumer groups to contribute to decision-making; - Organizations' capacity to diversify revenue sources and level of self-sufficiency increased; - Visibility and membership base increased.Expected Intermediate and long-term outcomes are: - Policy advice on consumer issues that is both credible and useful to decision-makers; - Policies that protect the consumer interest promoted; - Voluntary organizations recognized as credible and key participants in policymaking; - Voluntary consumer organizations continue to operate, and expand.

The Program aims to strengthen the consumer's role in the marketplace through the promotion of sound research and analysis and by encouraging the financial self-sufficiency of consumer and voluntary organizations.
