Grants and Contributions:
-A nationally coordinated DRI ecosystem that is responsive to stakeholder and research needs, with acohesive national vision for future investments in DRI that leverages contributions from federal, provincial,institutional, and/or private sector sources, while seeking to contribute no more than 60% towards theplatform costs.
-A DRI ecosystem that is agile, responsive and able to efficiently and effectively respond to emerging needsand opportunities within the research community.
-Increased technological capacity in the DRI ecosystem through investments in world-class digital tools and services.
-Increased support and stability for the highly qualified personnel that provide the necessary specialized skills and expertise to support both the DRI ecosystem and researcher needs.
-Enhanced collaboration and leveraging of research data to gain new scientific insights.
-Safeguards for DRI resources through enhanced investments and increased coordination in cybersecurity.
2025/26 to 2029/30,
CANARIE delivers the ultra high-speed network that connects Canada's researchers and educators to each other and provides access to global data. This National Reserach and Education Network (NREN) supports the Digital Research Infrastructure Strategy and ensures Canadian researchers have the digital tools and data they need to support scientific excellence and safeguard against IP theft.
