Description:
The Clean Resource Innovation Network (CRIN) will accelerate the development and adoption of
innovative processes that improve the environmental sustainability and economic performance of the
oil and gas sector. The contribution will enable CRIN to connect
innovators to the resources needed to develop cutting-edge technologies, with the overarching goal
of positioning Canada as a global leader in producing clean hydrocarbon energy. The project’s work phase is scheduled to end on September 30, 2027.

The investment will enable CRIN to further its innovative research in clean resources, create highlyskilled jobs, and develop the workforce of the future. By providing access to funding, talent, labs and facilities, the Network is well-positioned to support the growth and scale-up of Canadian firms, increase Canada’s global competiveness, and ultimately produce solutions to address critical economic and environmental challenges within the oil and gas sectors. This initiative will help
advance Canada’s net-zero emissions targets.
